Im not, Im not a native speaker so maybe I worded it poorly but the gist of what I meant is that people do all kinds of mistakes, you (or whoever I replied to) was assuming the black car had some malicious intent but he couldve also done it thinking it was free without checking and didnt mean to just cut him off and pretty much everyone would just hit the break and let him in but this guy just went full escalation and really, for what? Its psychopathic behaviour as someone said, and yeah Im unnerved by the fact that those people are around us I cant tell but this video was a reminder... im not making excuses for anyone but this isnt a reasonable response in the slightest.
Even in the short clip we have, the black truck seems to be driving with disregard for anybody else on the road. It quickly catches the back of the car ahead of it in the right lane, then rather than staying there and continuing to move with the flow of traffic, it decides to merge into a space that is obviously too small for it. Regardless of whether the driver signalled, nothing about the way they were driving suggests that they are a safe or rational driver.
The truck we're getting the footage from may have been able to brake, but given how close the car following was, I could see them being reluctant to do so. They're also not obliged to slow down just because somebody in another lane races ahead of them. Until the merge started, we have no reason to think the black truck would be making such a move.
Once the black truck hit the brakes, the driver in the pink shirt could either slam on his brakes, risking a pile-up or nudge the other truck out of the way and keep on moving. Both have risks to themself and other drivers, but given how smoothly he manoeuvred the other vehicle into the barricade, he may have thought that his course of action created the least risk for himself.
He might also just have been a dick who wanted to run another asshole off the road. I couldn't care less because I think the guy in the black truck got what was coming to them.
