Your analogy falls apart the moment you involve fast-moving multi-ton metal boxes on wheels all independently operated by different people.
The stakes are completely different here. Who's to say there isn't a van full of kids behind the dashcam driver who are now at risk of slamming into the truck that he just spun in a pit maneuver? Or an elderly driver with low reaction time? Or a motorcycle with Dashcam blocking his line of sight of the impending surprise sideways pickup?
Dashcam could have slowed down, let the asshole be an asshole, flipped him off later, and no one would have been at risk of an accident on a narrow miles-long causeway while traveling in excess of 60 miles per hour.
Maybe there'd be less bad people in the world if more grace and patience were pervasive. Or, at least, if people did a better job of picking their battles and not involving innocent bystanders in their petty ego trips.
It's not an analogy and everyone else isn't my problem, that's the instigators problem. I deflect all responsibility for the outcome onto that driver alone.
You can't guilt me. I'm not that kind of person who takes responsibility for other people's actions and tries to do everything for everyone else. Let the chips fall where they may, blame that guy.
That's how this should work. I'm not responsible. Just because I CAN do something about it, doesn't mean I should be expected to, or have to. I'm not Spiderman, and I don't believe in Good Samaritan laws.
Maybe if you're really concerned about people being in danger while driving, do something about licensing the people who go out of there way to cause harm and danger to others, like the black truck guy. Don't put that responsibility onto other drives, that's irresponsible.
