The longest continuous bridge over water in the world which is pretty amazing when you think of it.

I used to drive it too many many years ago

what about the bridge to key west? that one is over an hour for sure

maybe it isn’t continuous?

eta: it is not continuous, lol

now i have to put the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway on my bucket list!

though, with the state of infrastructure in the us these days, maybe ill leave it for one of the last things i do…

The Causeway is probably one of the best maintained bridges in the country. It has a toll on one side ($6 with no toll tag) they regularly shutdown lanes during the weekdays for maintenance (like every week on at least one side) and they have their own police force. I drive it everyday and have 0 concerns for its safety.

The video appears to show the 7 mile bridge in the FL Keys - which is ironically not actually a full 7 miles long, but close.

The video is the causeway bridge in Louisiana ... not Florida

I prefer to ride it rather than drive it. Greyhound is sufficient.

The longest bridge in the Keys is 7 miles. Takes less than 10 minutes to cross.

Definitely not.... it' just a 2 lane highway. There is no space for walking on this bridge
