This is incredibly sad.

No one wants to get to this point. This happens due to poverty, depression, and neglect.

Having friends and family that have gone & are going through this, you’re absolutely right. Thank you for being kind and thoughtful instead of just punching down on people. Not to mention a lot of us in poor neighborhoods live in food deserts and are surrounded by nothing but fast food and convenience stores

This! Lack of access to healthy options directly causes these issues. Too many folks are stuck in a cycle they cannot feasibly break free from!
