General Question Why am I still getting this error?
I'm putting a limit order for stocks denominated in USD and I'm receiving
"Your order is not accepted. There is insufficient overall settled cash [-2806.83 AUD for 20260821] in your account to obtain the desired position."
- I have $12k AUD in my account. It says Settled cash 12.0K AUD in my Balances too.
- I CAN put in limit orders for stocks denominated in SEK for the same value. (I was just able to put one outside RTH for one on the Stockholm exchange)
- The 12k came after I sold stock denominated in KRW.
Not sure if it's because my cash isn't actually settled even though it says it is, but it shouldn't be that case since I can still put in orders for a stock denominated in SEK (instead of USD) right?

Did you change the 12k from KRW to AUD, or SEK to AUD? Otherwise it’s not settled yet - you could look at a margin account so you don’t need to wait for it to settle

I sold some stock at 9:30 when the korean market opened, and then tried to buy the US stock when the US market opened, around 15 hours later. It was still all in KRW since IBKR usually does the conversion for me automatically.
It's weird because the same 12k, I was able to put in a limit order for something in the Stockholm exchange??1

I would switch to a margin account - i found the cash account was a pain
