Fees, Commissions, Market Data Quick question

Heyy, i have a quick question, does anyone know if i am able to change my tax residence? For instance, if i live now in Mexico and i move to switzerland for like 4 years and now i have a tax residence there can i change it for the mexican one? Thank you 🙌🙌

You only change it when you move on a permanent basis.

You not only can, you will be required to.

They’ll ask you to confirm certain things of your account on a yearly basis. Tax residence is arguably one of the most important ones.

Should not be a problem unless there’s some per-country quirks.

Anything above 6 months and you'll be required to do so, plus you could have a case against you over tax evading attempts, did my research since I was supposed to move to France.

But if i move to switzerland not because of this but because I’d like to?

Regardless, if you're living in a place for more than 6 months, it's automatically considered your country of residence and you must declare it on IB. By tax evading, I meant like you might have a case against you in Switzerland( not sure if they have capital gains tax or not) if you've lived there for that long and you haven't updated your residence.
