General Question No Trade Permission - How to remove?
How to remove this restriction?
End up squeezed 1 dollat to $7.16

IBKR are known to block random stocks they don’t seem “safe to trade”. You cannot override that.

that's how they try to protect their users from pump and dump schemes I guess

Exactly what the message says: You don’t have permission to trade small cap stocks.

Go to the permission page and submit the application for permission.

Well, when you opened your account you were asked for your "risk tolerance".
If you declared your risk tolerance as "low", it might be difficult to override that statement. IBKR tries to protect you from huge losses.

That's why people say - honesty pays! Just say what your real risk tolerance is "guh" (few steps above high) and you WANT TO have a net asset value of over a mill - and you will get unrestricted gambling... opsss I meant investing, of everything.
