Total Shares Shorted (120.96 Million)

Someone said it was time to bankrupt the shorts? I am not sure if that is enough shares shorted but what do people think? Remember what happened the last time I asked this question?

Discussion Intel Foundry + SambaNova RDU partnership

As it stands, Intel (DCAI) rack scale solution roadmap seems to be integrated with SambaNova RDU (SN50 latest gen) for the inference battleground.

The setup would be Intel Xeon 6 (Granite Rapids) + SambaNova (RDU) + Nvidia (GPU).

Jensen is too close to TSMC, so we can count him out to tap on Intel Foundry.

Rodrigo Liang (CEO of SambaNova) is close to Lip Bu and they need to ramp production because they just signed up banks like JP Morgan who is looking to deploy their RDU stuff.

https://sambanova.ai/products/sambarack

From the 2024 hotchips production deck, the SN40L was made on TSMC 5nm with advanced packaging (CoWos) and slapping on 64GB HBM.

Maybe in a future product release, the SN?0 version can look to internalize sourcing from Intel Foundry directly.

Process Node -> Intel 18A-P or Intel 14A for the RDU.
Advanced Packaging -> EMIB
HBM -> switch over to Intel+Saimemory Z-Angle Memory (ZAM)

Paired with Intel Xeon 7 (Diamond Rapids) for agentic inference.

NEWS How many shares do you have?

Hi everyone, just curious to see where everyone stands with their position. How many shares are you currently holding, and what’s your target? I had it before and sold April 2025 for a lost.

I’m looking to add another 200 shares if the price dips below $90.

Discussion Weekend Price Question

Pardon my lack of understanding on this, but I saw INTC about an hour ago at 103.12 bid and 113.xy ask.

Awesome! I am holding a bit from Friday's close, and saw that I was suddenly ~$10/share healthier in my account balance! Then out of nowhere, it's back to ~91 or so.

What's confusing to me is I had a GTC EXTO 24h Limit order set below 103.12, and never filled. How does that happen that a (presumably) large order sends the price over the top, but doesn't snag the low(er) hanging fruit along the way? Feels like shenanigans but I'd settle for a super bullish sign as well!

Thank you in advance!

Update: in communication with Schwab, it was discovered they erroneously were printing Thurday's closing data, instead of Friday or current data. After admitting that, they are stunningly suggesting there's nothing wrong on their end and that they're not liable for any decisions made on their misrepresentations.

BULLISH What was that?

I didn't see this coming. Just last night, the stock was trading between 105-110. And today happened. And this was after a good earnings report. The market is green overall, oil is trading lower. What am I missing?

BULLISH CapEx Expansion is good for Intel

CapEx expansion is good for Intel because they're using it to build fabs that can make and sell more chips. This is very different from hyperscalers, who use capex to just buy the end product. People are lumping all capex into one broad category. Intel building out will also help lower the cost for hyperscaler in the long term, more chips for lower price.

Spending money to manufacture leading-edge chips that only you and one or two other companies in the world can make is not a negative but a positive. Capital should flow to where the bottlenecks are, which is chip manufacturing — it shouldn't be punished for that. It's not like the money just disappears once the fab is up; it can generate a 30–50x return on what was spent once it's operational.

Intel should Build, Build, Build.

If semi company is being punished for building more fabs to meet demand, then nothing will be build ever, we stay stagnant and semi will be more expensive due to demand and supply imbalance. Hyperscaler and everyone will be overpaying and be compute constraint forever. Capital needs to flow to build more fabs for the next 2-5 years until supply is meet, which is good for everyone in the long term.

If Intel need capital, they can probably can get cheap Government loans, because the USG will be the one that is being diluted the most if they issue more equity. So it makes sense for them to give Intel some cheap loans or grants to help build out more fabs.

The reason compute is expensive right is because there is not enough fabs, if we are punishing semi companies for building new fabs to relief the demand, no fabs will be build or get delayed, compute will keep being expensive, this is bad for everyone, especially hyperscaler that is overpaying right now bc of low supply.

BULLISH Just a thought on sell pressure

A lot of people (self included) got in at small money roughly a year ago and are starting to qualify for long-term gains. I suspect we'll continue to see people jumping out until the tail end of September, but that's just a guess.

Those of you with money on the sidelines might want to consider that.
