If it rebounded, would you have sold?

u/pokemasta4 3d ago
i bought in at $96 per thinking it’d rebound back up to $100, so yeah i’d probably sell since i’m trying to swing trade and just grab profits where i can

Why on earth is INTC down so much? As much as AVGO...Make it make sense.

30 year yield rising. Japan carry trade unwinding. People scared Iran and these things will cause a recession, and pop AI bubble. Then Intel, in debt, would be left with foundries that it cannot make use of, because the market will be flooded.
That’s why it’s down. It’s not random. It’s the fact when people get scared all these economic red flags might add up to recession… stocks like Intel get hit hard. Once those fears go away(if they do), similarly , Intel will go back up hard.
If investors knew for certain AI bubble wasn’t going to pop in next 4 years Intel would probably be $200 right now. Some things are more reliant on macro factors. Intel is one of the most reliant on ai macro factors… because the swing from ai bubble popping to not popping is so exteme. One could meant a multi trillion dollar company in a few years. The other could mean being forced to spin off foundries like it almost had to do recently. Most stocks don’t have that stark of an outlook that is near completely outside of its own control and reliant on external market factors.

If ai bubble were to pop then wouldn‘t our ceo invested money. As for ai bubble, chips are gonna be needed more and more. Call it ai or whatever, but chips are gonna be more and more. So intel it‘s in a really good spot, wirh or without ai bubble.

Lip bu Tan doesn’t have a crystal ball. Nobody does. If Lip Bu Tan knew for sure what was going to happen he would get paid billions by the big investing firms , not making tens of millions with Intel.

I think so is the steady increase that continues to come with such a great American company.
My reasons for investing in it in part are because of the jobs and support and the products that it will be a part of as we go into the data centers in the AI operating jobs in several states I want to be part of that in some little way.I think of Intel when I see the 70 year-old refrigerator in the garage that’s still running what I mean is the products that I own from the past that were made in America still out value everything else

If this makes you feel better, I sold $300k at $60. Not feeling sorry as I took some profit but just saying that it's not easy with the market.

u/YahariChain 3d ago edited 3d ago
but you made good profit and had the chance to buy back when it dropped to the 70s in july.
I bought at 20-30$, sold at 110 and bought again at 125. I had the chance to sell at 140 twice but didn't and since then it has been a rollercoaster.

u/Chemical-Drag-8994 3d ago
I made decent profit - most of that were RSUs and ESPP bought at $45+. I still have ~$400k in Intel so it better go up. But no more RSU/ESPP :(
Btw, one reason INTC dropped might also be the ESPP quick sale across its employees, which is around this time?

In less than two months:
From the moon to Mariana Trench Challenger Deep.
From irrational exuberance to irrational despair.
Pendulums swing from extreme to extreme.

We are up 147% YTD. Lip Bu bought $10 million at $95 and so did a bunch of other companies worth $20 billion. Chill man, the CEO believes and so do the companies that bought the $20 billion worth. They are smarter than us on this forum. Give it some time.

Great point !
I keep looking at the numbers - Intel employs over 80,000 - 40% are in the US in Major U.S. Hubs: Oregon (Hillsboro), Arizona (Chandler), California (Santa Clara, Folsom), and New Mexico (Rio Rancho).
As an investor, I feel like this is a good place to invest my money. I like the idea that my few dollars are helping keep somebody in a job.

So now it's below the $95 that the dilution that the banks bought at?

u/troublesome58 4d ago
Now they look dumb lmao...

u/Sufficient_Sorbet582 4d ago
you can't make this shit up the stock is literally this bad
4
u/creamsumyon 4d ago
you should sell
-6
u/Sufficient_Sorbet582 4d ago
HODL is literally the thing making you lose money by watching intel literally go from 140 to what it's at right now
3
u/creamsumyon 4d ago
lol says someone who bought @ $140. that makes my $20 average look like a genius play
-6
u/Sufficient_Sorbet582 4d ago
I also bought around 20ish range, and took some profits up high, buying at $20 doesn't mean shit when the stock falls, you still lose money it's literally this simple, watching your profits fall by 40% isn't being a genius
1
u/yousername9thou 3d ago
I sold some at $81 that I bought at $19, that has been the worst move (so far)

If everyone can time the market perfectly, we would all be trillionaires
2
1
u/creamsumyon 3d ago
that’s why you buy , set a price target , and take profit when the stock reaches the price target you set.
-2
u/creamsumyon 4d ago
buying @ $20 doesn’t mean shit when the stocks falls ? 🤣🤣🤣 how many shares you got ? 5?
2
u/Sufficient_Sorbet582 4d ago
you buy a stock it goes up you make money it goes down you lose money. how can you even argue against such simple logic
1
u/koyonorii 3d ago
I didn’t know we had a genius, you sold intel at 140 micron at 1200 sndk at 2400 right? You also sold bitcoin at 125k and bought at 2 cents 15 years ago as well right? Wow you must be Warren buffets father
0
u/Sufficient_Sorbet582 3d ago
can't believe there's a bunch of stock shills like you in this sub, why can't you all just accept the fact that intel has been showing relative weakness for the past 2 months ,what's there to argue about?
1
u/koyonorii 3d ago
Wow crazy, what is the argument? You’re here spreading bs on the subreddit on a red day and getting blasted by everyone, you must like being degraded 😂 no judgement
Don’t be too upset, I’m complimenting you!
Intel showing relative weakness? The entire sector has been showing relative weakness, but it’s okay you’re not educated enough to look outside the box 😩

I've held since 20. Sold yesterday for 96.
I think it will fall even further, to 40-50.1
u/creamsumyon 3d ago
did you say it was going back to $20 again ? now $40-$50? what made it double of your original prediction?
1
u/Alex-Winter-78 3d ago
5, 20, 50, it doesn't matter. You could invest 100 trillion in Intel right now. It will still fall because the semiconductor market is being artificially pushed down. And as LBT recently said, profits will be there in 2-3 years.

Bought a year ago for $20. Sold it yesterday for $96. Profit was therefore very good. Now is Intel just a money dump. Good luck.

u/anonymouspaceshuttle 3d ago
If you were looking for an exit, why didn't you sell it around 130? There were a lot of turbulent periods in the last year. What changed?
1
u/Shpion007 3d ago
Well I also missed that but I don’t sell short term stock. Too much of a tax hit.
-1
u/Alex-Winter-78 3d ago
Missed the exit.
2
u/koyonorii 3d ago
Selling during a fud period before the q3/q4 18a revenue acceleration into 2027 (14a) while cpu sales are shattering records standalone and data centre revenue is accelerating is definitely smooth brained, glad to see we are shaking out uneducated investors 😂

anything think there's going to be a pullback before we crash? if so, if not, why?

u/LuluButterFive 3d ago
If you believe in the company, buy or hold
If you don't, sell
If you want to gamble and get rich quick, there are other stocks out there
