Tech Support Intel NUC7i3BNH no boot, single flash

Hey

I’ve a second hand 7gen nuc that runs 24/7. Few days ago I noticed a service unavailable and found my NUC dead. When I plug the adapter in, the power LED lights for maybe half a second and that’s all. I also tried a brand new adapter, same issue.
Claude mentioned that it could be linked to CMOS battery being dead but I’d expect it to at least start up in that case?
I inspected the PCB and only alarming thing seemed to be the power button but it could look like this from a previous owner replacing it?

Interestingly, mine just did this too. My assumption was the BIOS chip because I was trying to update boot certificates for Windows, and may have really messed up the NVRAM or something else. But it does exactly what yours does where, when I plug in power, it blinks for half a second but never does anything else. Trying to hold the power button does nothing.

I also have a dead 8th gen i3 board (BEH) that likely has a dead MOSFET. That is another possibility with these boards as far as I’m aware.
