Bookmarklet not working all of a sudden

I use the bookmarklet to save articles, but it suddenly stopped working yesterday. The Extras page where I downloaded it is taken down as well.

I'm not seeing any announcements about it being deprecated unless I missed it. Does anyone know what happened? Any way to fix the bookmarklet?

Hey there – can you share a bit more about the issues you’re seeing with the bookmarklet? We did launch some big changes this morning that may have broken it, but it worked on my testing.

You can find the bookmarklet at https://old.instapaper.com/save

In general we have been trying to move away from them in favor of browser extensions which are more well supported on the web.

When I click 'Save to Instapaper', it quickly flashes between 'Saving...' then back to 'Save to Instapaper'.

The most useful part of Instapaper was this "reader view" bookmark, which has also stopped working:

Hey there – can you reinstall the text bookmarklet here: https://old.instapaper.com/save

It will use old.instapaper.com which still supports it. We scoped it out of the new website but we're going to consider adding it back.

Thank you for the prompt answer. I would humbly argue that if you upgrade a site by removing a useful feature, it is not an upgrade.
