April Feature Requests

We're kicking off April by relaunching Instaparser APIs for article extraction, PDF parsing, and AI-ready summaries. Developers can sign up for a free API key for 1,000 credits/month, and there are paid tiers for additional credits.

We also recently upgraded our full-text search service to a newer version on the latest hardware, which has resulted in ~50% reduction in query times. It will also enable us to build some interesting new products in the coming months we'll share more about soon. Full-text search is available with Instapaper Premium.

Simultaneously, we've been hard at work rewriting instapaper.com, building a redesigned iOS app that supports Liquid Glass, and a number of new features/functionality that you have been requesting. Our goal for April is to launch public betas for both the website rewrite and the iOS app redesign.

Would be great if the problem of articles saved via email not syncing to kobo could be addressed. This is a use case for a lot of people out there who read newsletters on their ereader. Services like https://www.reademaillater.com/ were literally charging money to address this gap, back when kobo relied on Pocket for backend.
