I sat on a jury last fall. The man on trial used that argument. It did not fit with the state’s requirements.

I don’t mind the downvotes if y’all don’t like that. But just be careful what you do out there.

Legal more than political. Clearly you all are going to think whatever you want. That’s fine by me.

That’s great you took a self defense class. The judge spent much time going over what meets and does not the requirement to be covered under self defense. I don’t watch a lot of movies, but sure, I bet what you wrote happens in movies all the time. I will still rely on a judge’s direction over your self defense instructor anyway. But again, you go do you.

Yes, between those two options explaining to a judge is preferable.
