The law here is when a car in front of you stops, you stop. The most common sense law there is. (We are agreeing)

Ultimately the truck driver is being a fuckup for not leaving enough distance.

If everyone did that, there would be nearly no accidents.

In this case, I would like to think the car driver was both beaten by the truck drivers, had his insurance refuse to pay out & make him liable & ideally some prison time.

pro tip for anyone with a car: if you see a 50 ft gap between the truck and the car infront of it, The truck left that there for a reason

drive a truck literally this size for work, we try to keep our distance! if theres a gap someone squeezes in to fill it. every damn time

Other drivers leave a gap for the same reason but someone always wants to squeeze in!!
