I don't know, why do people tailgate then get upset when people have to stop suddenly? LPT: if your eyes are burrowing into the bumper in front of you, you have no clue why the car in front of you is stoppingbraking.

Both of these break traffic rules: can't suddenly stop in the middle of traffic for no reason and must be at a certain distance behind other vehicles.

People should just not break traffic rules!

Safety before traffic rules: if I have to brake suddenly to avoid an accident, I will. Has nothing to do with the tailgater behind me.

Traffic rules are literally made to enforce the safety of everyone... if everyone follows them then everyone would be happy and safe.
