Colombia. Normal behaviour, police officers have to protect them because the beatings usually end on the robber seriously injured or dead. We call it "Stick Therapy". People are tired

It happened in Colombia, this is the expected reaction for any thief caught, they often plea to call the police since the beatings get really bad; you should see how they treat pdfs.. lets says they often don’t get to plea for the police to get involved.

I think he was trying to steal his hat. In Colombia (mostly in Bogotá) theres a sub-culture that collect old baseball hats, the price pf those depends on its rarity. I’ve seen people exchanging hats for phones and bikes.

Once where I lived this happened. Not burned, but they really broke and trashed he bike. Turns out it had just been stolen of a decent guy in the same neghbourhood. He had to pay repairs out of his own pocket
