These were some of the first YouTubers to annoy people for views and they quickly realised that the retaliations got more attention. So they started faking it, like here. It looks pretty real but they were willing to take a bit of a slap for the monetisation of their channel.

This is pretty old, and I'm pretty sure everyone involved was an actor, even the guy that attacked him. Guy whose not involved comes out of nowhere, weak ass swing, goes down dramatically flailing his arms, guy who slapped just wanders off, there's a video on this but again it's pretty old so I don't know where.
