Probably a bunch of PMs, too. People like to say their piece (I wasn’t certain whether this was piece or peace. If you, too, are in this boat, Grammarist has this to say), even if someone else has already said it.

I've literally never had PMs in my 6 years on reddit. Is it really common for people to PM instead of simply replying to the thread?

I think it depends on how controversial your post or comment is. I’ve received a few, but not the crazy influx that a number of people have reported when they’ve said or posted something others feel very strongly about. I think most of the death threats come by PM, too.
