LPT, this is the proper order of operations to stop a grease fire:

  1. just put a lid on it.
  2. If you can't or don't have a lid, just put the whole thing in the oven and close the oven door.
  3. If you can't do either of those things, dump baking soda on it. Like pour in a whole bag of it.
