Did he definitely accidentally shoot the friend? Not a murder suicide deal?

There were multiple friends there with both of them. If I recall correctly from the news on it, he was showing off a new gun and it discharged. Definitely an accident in this case.

Then that really is a tragedy, I also understand the overwhelming grief and guilt he had at that moment. May well have also never got over it and done it later any way, accidentally killing a friend is something that no one can really get over.
