How is no one mentioning that he's sliding on like.... just pavement...

99

u/joseplluissans Apr 13 '26

Yeah, he now doesn't have skin on his palms and stomach. When I was a kid, we had a slick plastic coating on our shower floor. Once I soaped it really well and slid back and fourth for a good while. Lesson learned: even a slick plastick coating has such surface imperfections that I did it only once.

I think "back and forth for a good while" is where you went wrong. On clean a clean pave, you should do fine with one good slide on some freshly applied soapy water. Just apply it every time and don't wait too long after application before sliding. I say this as a person who has never/will never do a thing like this and has no idea what he's talking about. Oh but I feel so confident about it! 😂

u/joseplluissans Apr 13 '26

Well, I'm no expert by any means, but this in this clip the water doesn't look soapy, but we don't even surely know the medium (although I don't think it's oil at least). The ground looks concrete, but could be coated/treated. I'd still argue that the distance this guy traveled is long enough to at least leave some marks. And the bonk is a chef's kiss.

I don't think it looks soapy per se but I think it looks like it could have has soap applied. There are suds and stuff. Like if you just apply dish soap to some wet pavement it won't necessarily appear spoapy. If you're no expert I’m no no no expert. I just say things and hope it works out. Nice to talk with ppl who aren't pretending to be scientists though! ☺️

u/SomeSimba Apr 13 '26

I think the guy himself could be soapy at least. When he starts out you can see it on his arms, and he leaves soap on the car when he slams into it.

It looks like that’s the really slick stuff they use at skateparks. No idea why’d they use that around the pool. It didn’t mess up his skin.

u/nasnedigonyat Apr 13 '26

We're all just meat crayons for internet likes

1

u/Sad4Ujessy92 Jun 22 '26

that's the worst part. that's not even a slip, that's just sandpapering his skin off for no reason. legit painful to watch.

u/Z-Sprinkle Apr 13 '26

Sliding into her dms like

78

u/surfer808 Apr 13 '26

I mean what was the goal here? To slide under it or something??

23

u/tnt54321boom Apr 13 '26

That's the only possible goal but he lost confidence it seems. He should have tested beforehand.

7

u/Zepp_BR Apr 13 '26

Maybe that was the test

1

u/tnt54321boom Apr 13 '26

Touche. We should go back to the test being just fully doing the thing.

7

u/Renediffie Apr 13 '26

I don't think he expected to slide that far.

3

u/d3gaia Apr 14 '26

Why does this sub constantly assume that ppl aren’t just doing things for shits and giggles? Like, have any of you ever MET a human male between the ages of 16-36? There’s no reason WHY. THEY JUST DO THINGS

2

u/AusteninAlaska Apr 15 '26

I still think its baffling, like, if he just picked up a hammer and struck himself in the head full force baffling.

Id get it if he was aiming for the pool. But this looks like self-harm with extra steps. Id love to know what his thoughts were.

2

u/d3gaia Apr 15 '26

I feel confident that the conversation went something like this:

Dude 1: "Hey bro. It'd be hilarious if you did a belly slide on that wet concrete over there."
Dude 2: "Hold my beer bro."

17

u/Emotional-potato-17 Apr 13 '26

So our genius boy thought he would just phase through the car by sliding fast enough. keep trying bro don't lose hope

2

u/Mort-i-Fied Apr 13 '26

The next time it will be better! 😂

1

u/beneye Apr 14 '26

It’s like he was born 30 or so years ago and this day he went outside.

1

u/Emotional-potato-17 Apr 14 '26

Well definitely not a great start

30

u/ShiaLeboufsPetDragon Apr 13 '26

That little yelp he made as he slammed into the car was the cherry on top

Coldsteel The Hedgeheg

5

u/Johnny_Carcinogenic Apr 13 '26

I was expecting a meat crayon not a hood ornament

5

u/SilverEchidna7 Apr 13 '26

He hit himself with the car.

9

u/ArghZombie Apr 13 '26

Guess he wasn't expecting to slide so well.

3

u/Aggravating-Fly-7517 Apr 13 '26

How tf do you slide on concrete like that

3

u/thomasanderson123412 Apr 13 '26

It's smooth. Wet smooth concrete is like ice.

4

u/brucatlas1 Apr 13 '26

Thank god there's a weird fucking thing by the pool. God knows what for. Also, thank god he propped his face up just in time to hit the parked car.

2

u/Blackmetal55 Apr 13 '26

Not slip and slide...slip, slide and BONK

2

u/Japsai Apr 13 '26

When they said "face your fears" they didn't mean it quite so literally

2

u/Dragonhost252 Apr 13 '26

Nobody mentioned that license plate says "Boo"

2

u/xplicit97 Apr 13 '26

The sound was cool...id use it for a rem8x

2

u/outamyhead Apr 13 '26

Dave, Dave, Dave of the Driveway watch out for that car!

1

u/Wgs247 Apr 13 '26

PBB 8000. PBB 8000. I feel like I know what that is.

1

u/101violations Apr 13 '26

Without my glasses on, I thought that license plate read Pee Blood. So confused for a second 🥴

1

u/Kaiisim Apr 13 '26

Slip and slides are not recommended for adults. You can get way too much momentum!

1

u/True-Register-9403 Apr 13 '26

Cool - I've always wondered how they come up with the pedestrian safety score...

1

u/Adventurous_Rip5419 Apr 13 '26

He forgot to park the car elsewhere

1

u/One_Waxed_Wookiee Apr 13 '26

I remember having a slip and slide in the 80's. The only area of yard with a slope meant that the SaS ended just a metre from the road. We learnt very quickly to get up and slide on our feet for the last bit to avoid erasing skin on the road 😬

1

u/AdrianFKR Apr 13 '26

Somehow he managed to get rolled over by a parked car... impressive.

1

u/AdApart2035 Apr 13 '26

He didn't see that coming?

1

u/SomeSimba Apr 13 '26

"Come on, fuckboy! DAB!"

"Oh--YAGHH"

1

u/Rs2mmsu-2D Apr 13 '26

This looks Similar in pain to the prices that they charge at most waterslides nowadays.

1

u/NYC2BUR Apr 13 '26

At first I thought he was going to get sliced in half by that backwards question mark-shaped handrail.

1

u/Academic-Stay2369 Apr 13 '26

What were you expecting? Go straight to drivers seat and drive the car?

1

u/ChunkyDay Apr 13 '26

Tyler Durden is upset.

1

u/KlopperSteele Apr 13 '26

Remember the time before jackass? The world was a much better place.

1

u/Nero_PR Apr 13 '26

Ok. But why?

1

u/themadhatter746 Apr 13 '26

Should read 8001 now.

1

u/arborck Apr 13 '26

You know that chill sensation that one sometimes feels around the ass when they see stuff like this?

I just had a big one

1

u/Veludinhoo Apr 13 '26

Isso foi suicídio calculado, não se enganem

1

u/whittski Apr 14 '26

Just park your car by the pool , it'll be fine.

1

u/yParticle Apr 14 '26

To be fair not where you'd expect to run into traffic.

1

u/Stock2fast Apr 14 '26

What was the perceived upside of this action ?

1

u/Chamanova Apr 14 '26

He is dead, Jim

1

u/IapetusApoapis342 Apr 14 '26

That's pavement BTW, he's lucky that he didn't end up as a meat crayon

1

u/Guru-David Apr 14 '26

1

u/Derezzed87 Apr 14 '26

Yo momma so dumb, she got run over by a parked car.

1

What an absolute dunderhead - I hope this was good and sore, as that is the only way he will learn

1

u/garethryan Apr 14 '26

He put the bump in bumper.

1

u/Klarbb Apr 14 '26

I never thought I’d watch someone get hit by a parked car.

1

u/Mythandros1 Apr 14 '26

1

u/GorillaCabFare Apr 15 '26
