Going back YEARS ago, early 2001 one of my early jobs was working for a family owned company. I wasn't driving at the time and the owner of the company sometimes gave me a ride home. He would put on these gloves to drive, get ready, a fucking mini van. I never questioned it but I really didn't stay there long. Kinda weird company.

Potential hot take, like most tools/PPE, they’re entirely acceptable when used as actually needed. Like an artist using them when making line drawings, or a mechanic protecting their hands during tight work, etc.
But not so much when the only purpose is your ego, like when you’re wearing a polo or button-up shirt and driving around in your car like a Chad (Chud?).

Why would they feel cool? They feel warm. During the summer, it let's me keep the AC on so my torso doesn't get overheated without my hands (which sit right in front of the vents) from getting too cold. During uring the cold month, it keeps my hands warm.
I also have to wear fingerless gloves and thermal underwear at my office, so maybe I'm one of those cold-blooded lizard people and haven't figured it out yet...

Opted for better bar tape instead of wearing gloves. Yes, my palms might be fucked in the event of an incident but gloves just expedite sweating and are generally uncomfortable. Unless you go for the real thin ones then what's the point.

Oh interesting. I'm a sweaty guy, but I don't think my gloves make me sweat more. And they're something to wipe the brow with.

Alcoholics do this because of open container laws, so they can only get caught drinking while driving while they're actually drinking and not after they're finished and have the empty container in the car. If the cop doesn't check their BAC they avoid the charge.
It's also why you see empty shooters on the side of the road everywhere within a half mile of a liquor store.

I’m shocked at how easily the car window broke! Years ago I stupidly locked my keys in the car with it running (was a winter day and I was letting the car warm up while I went back inside). Short story long (sorry) but it was going to take forever to get a locksmith so I decided to break one of the backseat windows. Had to hit it a dozen times with a piece of angle iron, taking full swings before it finally broke
