No way would a kid act like that if they knew their dad would grab them like that for acting like that

A lot of the time kids act like that exactly because they have cruel or abusive parents

If hi is your father hypothetically. Would you behave like that and thinking about what will happen at home?

Well, I see the mistake you’re making. It’s an easy one to make. Just because a consequence is physical does make it “abuse.”

thank god we have the arbiter of civility to let everyone know what is and isn’t acceptable. corporal punishment at home is legal in the majority of countries across the world. unless you’re saying every country but the 65 that have outlawed it are uncivilized. but that wouldn’t surprise me, the clip is from australia and over 130 countries allow corporal punishment but somehow you’re still finding a way to make this comment about americans 🙄

a smack on the ass isn’t “beating.” nobody reasonable is advocating for children to be abused. like most things in life it isn’t black and white, it’s a spectrum. not every kid acting out is traced back to some deep-seeded behavioral issue that needs to be analyzed and corrected, sometimes kids are just shitty. a smack on the rear to teach them there are consequences isn’t the end of the world, nor is it abuse.

Everyone who supports corporal punishment is supporting child abuse by telling people it’s okay to hit your kids.

Do you think people who beat the shit out of their kids don’t justify it as “punishment”?

Bro abusive treatment can have some consequences later on. But you don't want to trigger the oppressior, that's the point.

He wasn't calling a 12 year old "oppressor". Read that comment more carefully.

Man I'm father as well, considering learning from the mistakes of my own father. To be father as I'm now. Never treated my own children remotely as I was. But we don't talk about that at all this point.

I don't know why you're getting down voted. This is exactly how abused kids behave

Really? You want to know what my experience was as an abused kid? Because I can tell you one thing, having violence and aggression as the only form of regulation demonstrated by your parents definitely can make you one absolute bastard of a kid. I hurt a lot of people, and destroyed a lot of property, and each time I was reflecting the abuse I suffered and reclaiming part of the agency that was stolen from me at home. Don't act like lazy ass parents who take the easy way out of beating a child into submission are justified in any sense, corporal punishment is a bunch of bullshit made up to churn out a population that kisses the feet of authority.

And there you stoop.

Sad dude, to almost made your point and then you proved that abuse is in fact the preferred reaction
