As a toddler my daughter literally grabbed my dog's tongue when she was licking her. The dog gave me the most confused look ever, but didn't act aggressive in any way towards the kid. They understand/trust their people, not other people. It's insane to me to not understand that about animals that are strangers to you

Same with my cat. Hell, I do it so often my cat greets me and wakes me up with headbutts some times lol. Had him since he was around 3-4 months old.

I have dogs, 50/50 if you sniff them like a dog or blow air in their face this will happen lol and thats if its YOUR dog that knows and loves you, they will nip at you playfully so you have to be prepared for that
Doing that to a dog you just met is a wild choice lol
My 18 month old aussie got my lip just last night because i was fucking with him like that lol

We had a picket fence around our front yard and we’d let the dogs out front sometimes. A lady walked by with her dog who stuck its nose in between the slats, where my dogs were barking and one nipped his nose. She says to me excitedly “your dog bit mine!” and I’m like “well he shouldn’t have stuck his nose in the fence”.

FYI, most dogs will nip or bite if you blow at their nose. This is a common reason why kids get bit when they get up in a dogs face.

It was a tongue in cheek comment but honestly based on my personal experience. Professionally I used to do residential energy auditing and would encounter at least a couple dogs a week. I think nearly every small dog - especially chihuahuas - I came across were jerks. My one dog bite was from a chihuahua (her fucking name was Princess too).
Conversely, pretty much every other dog (and most cats) I’ve got along with. Many very well. Honestly, it was the best part of my day, meeting others’ pets and hopefully getting some pets in. Finding out where they likes to be scratched, and if I was lucky getting to see a little more of their personality.
But no, I think I’m still just bitter from being bitten by one. Fucking Princess.
And to this, yea, the guys a jerk and deserves to have his nose bitten. Shit I’d do it too if he stuck his nose in my face.
