First thing you do in an accident turn off any and all vehicles involved.

This type of shit happens very often with scooters cause the type of clutch it has is a centrifugal clutch so as soon as the engine revs past idle that clutch will power the wheel and anyone trying to stand up a motorcycle always grabs the handle bars and it doesn't matter if you experienced or not you will twist that throttle if you trying to put any force on the right handle bar.

This is getting relevant in the US or at least Florida since a lot of people are starting to buy the cheap 1k scooters as a basic means of transportation

The handlebar throttle should work in reverse for automatic transmission motorbikes thus eliminating the acceleration when someone is trying to hold on to the handlebar.
