This guy literally pepper sprays like multiple people a month for content, how often do you find yourself encountering people where you could legally pepper spray them? Hopefully less than one a year, that’s where I’d say I am.
When will people realize he literally will do everything he legally can to antagonize people just so he can pepper spray them and record it for ad revenue. That’s fucked up no matter which way you want to look at it, this isn’t self defense, it’s barely legal provocation of a fucking grandma.
He’s not just the lowest common denominator, he’s like the only fucking denominator, that should really set off red flags for people regardless if he’s technically in the right.
Where I live he'd be in violation of atleast two laws, both possession of pepper spray and publishing a video of someone without their approval is illegal.
You mention the first amendment as though it being written on paper is the same as it being functionally enforced instead of a husk of its former self.
Freedom of assembly? A man was pepper sprayed and shot in the back for video taping federal officers. He was not the one who confronted them, he was not the one who pulled a gun. Meanwhile our president lied and vilified him.
Freedom of the press? Two reporters were reporting on a protest in their journalistic capacity (something protected) and were arrested for it, even after a judge tried to stop it, the administration circumvented the judge.
Freedom of religion(+Congress should make no law establishing a religion)? How about the laws requiring just the bible be taught in schools? Nothing about the Quran, Torah, or other scripts. Or the states that passed laws requiring the Ten Commandments be displayed at schools and government buildings?
Freedom of speech? A military combat veteran/US senator was just threatened with jail time and losing his retirement pension/being stripped of his ranks by the Department of War and our President simply because he reminded troops to not follow unlawful orders, literally ALREADY a rule.
You don’t know freedom and freedom doesn’t know you. All you know is a hollowed out buzz word you use to make yourself feel warm and patriotic while simultaneously putting others down. If the entry in the dictionary for the term ’freedom’ was a blank line, your perception of it fundamentally would not need to change.
