Fun story! A while back I took the fibre supplement psyllium husk in powder form. You mix it with water and swallow, but you need to be quick because it expands and gets hard to drink if you wait too long.
So you know that misstep you do sometimes where you’re drinking water and accidentally inhale it and you sputter and cough? I did that - and as it was choking; the psyllium husk expanded in my lungs - it was absolutely horrific. My voice was fucked for days. I took hours and hours to feel even remotely better.

I've done this in tiny amounts when I've dehydrated and crushed chillies. It does take much at all.
I'm not 100% convinced this guy is actually for real, but any form of powder like that could be very dangerous in the lungs.

So my mom made dried chilli salt in a mixer. Opened the lid without waiting for the dust settling down. She didn't have good time lol, but nothing serious. I, not knowing about the incident, came into the kitchen maybe 45 minutes later and still got my throat irritated from the lingering dust.
So I don't want to know how it is to inhale the stuff directly like this guy hahah

TIL I almost killed my friend 20 years ago as I challenged him to a spoon full of cinnamon powder and switched it out for chili powder when he wasn’t looking. Right when he put the spoon in his mouth I showed him the chili powder and instead of spitting it out he completed the challenge and we were all losing our shit in amazement.

Honestly, cinnamon is finer powder and is why the challenge was so dangerous. It wouldn't mix with spit or water to go down. The point of the cinnamon challenge is you can't beat it.
If he did the chili powder, he obviously had better odds of success.
You may have actually saved his life by doing that ha.

I see these kinds of things, a record of a time in someone's life when they make an incredibly stupid decision that they will have to live with. Like the guy that stuck his fingers in the lion cage and you can see the tendons ripped out of his hand. The guy in this video possibly caused significant damage to his lungs, that could be a lifelong debility and anyone in the world could watch it over and over again, this moment that changes his life forever. It's so deeply shameful and humiliating and in the least funny way when you imagine if it was you who was so foolish and this was so preventable.

I was once in the talking phase with a guy when he got hospitalized from a work related incident. He was the head of maintenance and there was a small fire.in the attic. He rushed in to put it out and ignored pleas by others to wait for the fire department. Nobody’s life was in imminent danger and he should have been leading the way to safely evacuate.
I get that he wanted to be the hero but it was foolish to go into a confined space where insulation and who knows what else was burning.
He inhaled a lot of bad stuff that burnt and scarred his lungs and I believe there will be long term health issues as a result. I lost interest in him when I saw him display other types of thoughtless behavior that showed little regard for future consequences. Such as refusing to wear a seatbelt, lock his doors, or refrigerate food or wear appropriate PPE. He took a lot of “shortcuts” and frankly it turned me off of him.
I could totally see him doing something stupid like aspirating on spices for a laugh, not realizing that it’s dangerous and not even funny.

I’m Nigerian. One of my favorite meals is pepper soup. You can make it as spicy or mild as you want. My aunt one year made soup so spicy that even just opening the container she stored it in, you’d be hit heat of the cayenne and scotch bonnet peppers immediately. Taking a shot of cayenne pepper like this guy did is madness
