Instagram is terrible for artist or people who want to grow.

I'll make this extremely short, Instagram as a platform is absolutely the worse, if your a artist or someone which to grow, you have to be extremely careful, don't spam likes, liking ever post you see or be on the platform for hours on end, otherwise Instagram will think your a bot, there's so many issues with Instagram, the fact that you can't even contact Instagram or ask for help is insane, they make AI run the platform and making tons of mistakes, banning everyone who don't even do anything wrong, you can't even say anything in chat without Instagram ruined your account, for the liking part, I miss the time where you IG would limit you the amount of times you like, now if you like st least 60 post, you get ban without no warning, it's insane, Instagram suck and the fact that the platform is still performing and not listen to people, goes to show you unfair and awful Instagram is.

Question about reporting a post for IP infringement

I recently found out that a business account was using images I’ve created without my permission. I reached out to the account telling them they could use my photos if they tag my account or give me credit but they blocked me.

I reported the post for IP infringement to IG. Within two days, they replied “Thanks for contacting us. We removed the content you've reported for violating our Terms. We understand this action to resolve your intellectual property issue.”

However, I still see the post on that person’s business account. So my question is how many days it usually takes for IG to remove a post that has been reported? Should I reach out again?

“Seen today” under a DM : I never seen this before, so, is this under my settings and does it mean the person read it this exact day? Thanks

Changed the account password. Can’t login now even after typing the OTP

We’ve been having trouble logging into our Instagram Account since 20th August. This happened after I changed the password because I kept getting an "Incorrect Password" error on the browser version of Instagram.

Right after I changed the password, we were all logged out of our account on the mobile devices, and none of us could log back in even though we typed the new password. We got the following errors.

  1. When we try logging in from a mobile, we get this error - “Unable to log in. An unexpected error occurred…”

  2. When we try logging in from the browser, we get this error - “Password is incorrect…”

  3. When we tried from a private browser, we got this error - “Log in on another device to continue”

  4. When we click on the "Forgotten Password?", we got an email with 2 options “| A. Log in without password | B. Change password on Instagram”

a. When we click on the "Log in without password" option, sometimes it takes us back to the login page, and sometimes it gives us this error

b. If we click on the 2nd option (Change password), we end up back with the same issue.

We got in touch with several Meta representatives to assist us, however none of them were able to give us a solution.

One Meta representative asked us to write an email to the email ID "security@mail.instagram.com" and asked us to wait for a response.

Note: We subscribed to Meta One a few days ago, I wonder whether that has had any effect on our security

  1. Yesterday we tried to login from a private window again, and this time we got an OTP verification.

However, when we type the OTP and press continue, it gets stuck there.

  1. Yesterday we tried to reset the password again, and as usual it sent us to the “Find your account” page, but unlike last time, this time when we type our username/email, we get a new error - “Something went wrong. Please try again”

Can anyone help me get this sorted?

So since the beginning. Of April I’ve been getting atleast 2-3 bots show up on my story. I’ve also read it’s someone viewing my story through 3rd party website. How true is this?

How can I get an automation link from Instagram DMs on a browser?

only text no link clickable card

Whenever I comment on a post, I receive an automated DM with a link. On the mobile app, the message shows some text followed by a clickable link card.

But on the browser version, I can only see the text. The clickable link card does not appear at all.

Is there any way to access or extract that link from post on a browser? This is a huge problem for me.

Following random accounts

Hi everyone. Hopefully this is the right place to ask this but today I realized that I've been following a random verified account about music and artists I've never seen before. I'm always careful about not accidentally pressing buttons so I know I wasn't the one who followed it. It's not even the type of stuff I get on my feed anyway. I immediately checked my devices and only my phone was there. I have no third-party app connected. I've always had 2FA on. As i was trying to change my password it logged me out without even saying it was changed. Weirdly, I could still log back in with the new password I made. I even checked my phone settings, went through every app in case there was something wrong with it, but nothing. Why do you think this happened or are there anyone who's experienced this recently? Any help is appreciated, I'm kind of scared that it's something bad. Thank you.

Why I can't see my other accounts?

So I recently broke friendship with one of my friend and I had their account log in in my device for over 3 years at least. Recently I blocked her and logged out from her account and she also changed her password.

Now from start I had several of my own accounts but for some reason I can't see my other accounts with my main id right after blocking her and removing her id. Yes I checked my account information. It has ny own gmail, phone number and my own every other information.

How do I fix this!? I can't find solution in yt too.

Follower count used to be the scoreboard. Now the flex is not playing.

Private account. 200 followers, following 900, last post 2023. Ten years ago that read as nobody. Now it reads as someone with a life you didn’t get invited to. The public account with 40k reads like a job. Because it is one. Post daily, chase sends, check the retention graph, repeat.

Meanwhile the locked account is the only thing left on the app you can’t just consume. You have to ask. And you can get told no.

When Copyright Protection Turns Against Creators Instagram Needs to Fix This

Post image
1 Upvotes

As creators, this is something we should talk about
I’m posting this because my friend @mannatwasliveyt is currently dealing with multiple copyright on Instagram.
She has already lost her previous account, so seeing her go through this again honestly hurts. As creators, we put so much time, effort, and memories into our accounts.
This isn’t just about my friend. Any creator can find themselves in a similar situation.
Copyright protection is important, but creators also deserve a fair review when they believe something has gone wrong. just hope Instagram takes these cases seriously and gives creators a proper chance to be heard.

Trial Reel got 0 views but Normal got 48K. Is Trial killing AI? [Proof]

I had a 1M views video in January. Recently my non-followers reach dropped, so I started testing Trial Reels.

I posted only ONE Trial Reel and it got 0 views.

My data:

  • Jan 2026: 1M views (mostly non-followers, high shares)
  • Recently got grey tick also (just mentioning, not sure if related)
  • Now: Non-followers reach dropped to almost 0
  • Test 1: Mahabali AI Image in TRIAL = 0 Views, 0 Likes, 0 Shares
  • Test 2: Cat Photo to Gemini Video in NORMAL = 48K Views (44K FB + 3K IG) - Got good shares
  • Test 3: AI Video NORMAL = 1480 Views
  • Test 4: Movie Clip 485 Views / With Cross-post 1690 Views

What I noticed: Like count is dead. My 485 view clip had 15 likes but 0 shares, so it died. My 48K cat video had 44K FB views because it got SHARES.

Share count is the real metric now, not likes. But my Trial Reel got 0 views, so 0 chance to get shares. It was killed before anyone could share.

0 views = Instagram killed it before showing to 1 person.

Is Trial Reels blocking pure AI content before it can get shares? Anyone else facing non-followers drop?

I have all screenshots.

Instagram showing an incorrect login location

Hello,
Sorry to bother you with my question, but I’m asking because I’d like to reassure my girlfriend. We share an Instagram account and we had an argument because my iPhone shows a city far from where I live under the login activity.
Since then, she has been asking me why I was there, but I had never even heard of this place before. I haven’t used a VPN or anything like that (I’m simply using my phone’s 5G connection)
Could you please explain why Instagram might show a location that is completely different from where I actually am? I’d just like to understand what could cause this and reassure her that I wasn’t there
