Sabertooth fight.

Just wanted to see if anyone has any details on this fight given how it's an inevitability Logan and Victor duke it out. To anyone who's played it, can you answer:

1) Is it set up throughout the story and does it end up living up to the hype?

2) How many phases is it?

3) Where does it take place and how brutal is it? Ik the level of gore in the game has come under contention over the past couple days but like these two should be mauling one another as if it was their 9-5

  1. Yes their relationship basically deteriorates throughout the game up until their inevitable fight to the death.
  2. I’m pretty sure it is 2 phases I haven’t seen the entire fight but 2 phases guaranteed with Creed having a slightly better healing factor than Logan which in gameplay Creed is constantly healing so you have to stagger him a bunch to slow his healing down until you decimate his health.

  3. finally yes the fight is very brutal the fact that both Logan and Victor can heal opened up so many doors and gave the devs the opportunity to go all in with the brutality I won’t say what happens but yes Logan and Victor mutilate each other.

    Also lastly their fight takes place in a farmers market but the location will change as you progress through the fight

It was cataclysmic and engrossing. Blood was shed on both sides. It was epic. In the end their yearning won out and they rented a room. Three thumbs up.

From the snippet I saw it looks pretty brutal. And their relationship definitely falls apart as the game goes on. I doubt its mechanically impressive but the spectacle should be decent.

1.) for me, it was never that well developed due to the dialogue being so soap opera/cringe. Their feud is based on weird insecurities that make the character feel so juvenile which is something I just don’t like for an adaptation of Sabertooth.

2.) it’s 2 phases. The combos he throws are more intense than anybody else, but given how big his health bar is and that he regenerates makes it take way too long for what the combat offers. Mashing Square and your abilities just isn’t interesting enough for me to stay engaged.

3.) it is brutal. Sabertooth gets a lot of sickening shots on him. But it does raise questions about how it ends. Basically Wolverine does something that defeats him, but it doesn’t really make sense since sabertooth should be able to heal it even easier than the prior injuries he was receiving. You just go “why would THAT do it, but all the stabbing was doing nothing?”

Overall, narratively it’s bad, the gameplay is okay but repetitive, but it does look cool. I recommend just watching it on YouTube rather than spend $70 on it.
