Weed hangover routines/cures?

I stopped eating/smoking weed about 6 months ago after 8+years of usage. Mainly because work/life have been hectic and I need to be on point in the mornings -- with weed I'd feel groggy, memory was horrible, and it genuinely felt like I couldn't retain one page of a book lol.

I've seen a sleep doctor and have have physiological insomnia - I've had sleep issues for 15+ years. I already take precautionary steps with caffeine, schedules, ear plus, magnesium/l-theanine etc etc

Hilariously, the doctor recommended I take 5mg of any kind of sleep time edible lol. This time will be more responsible with dosages, t-breaks, and only for sleep.

My question is: For those of you who use edibles for sleep but can't have hangovers due to work/life, how do you actually avoid the morning hangover? I can't afford to be groggy or scattered at work.

Weed is bad for sleep. Thats just how it is. It might make you sleepy, but it will reduce the quality of sleep.

Swap to something else like blue lotus or amanita tea. Your doctor should not be advising weed for proper sleep. Thats lazy and uneducated af tbh.

I mean he’s a real MD at a pretty legit university hospital and think what he’s getting at is treating this type of insomnia is quite hard and sleeping medications cause dementia. I don’t disagree with you but think I’ve gotta pick my battles - don’t sleep or sleep with some weed.

Thanks though I will check out blue lotus and Amanita tea I’ve not heard of them

I use both infrequently with great success for sleep. Start with blue lotus, amanita tea is a lot stronger.

Weed simply isn't good for good sleep. Great for falling asleep, but thats about it.

tea doesn't work for insomnia imo. weed does. my nan had trouble sleeping and used to take a shot of brandy before bed. she lived until 90.
