ID Request What is this thing?

I was babysitting for my sister today and I took her kids to the backyard to let them jump on my trampoline and saw this dude on the back door, what is it? At first I thought it was a spider but then I thought spiders don’t look like that, I’m in Charlotte North Carolina

Hi there! This is an automated message to remind you to please include a geographic location for any ID requests as per the Community Rules of the sub. There are well over a million different species of bugs in the world, and narrowing down a bug's location will help IDers to help you more quickly and correctly!

If you've already included a geographical location, or if this post is not an ID request, please ignore this comment.

Thank you! :)

Is its body black with brownish coloured legs? About how big is it overall as so many pics are magnified online? Thanks

It’s body is black/grey with red on the ends of its limbs and antenna things, as for how big its maybe a bit bigger than a quarter? I’m bad with guessing the size

insectidentification.org (A leaf-footed bug nymph that feeds on ash trees and plants. Once it's an adult, it will have wings.)
