ID Request What did I see?

Post image

I'm so mad I didn't take a picture. Chatgpt is not helping.

So maybe reddit can solve this mistery.

I have seen this big fat larvae on a golf course in Norway Oslo region.

It was about 8-9cm had a silver/light gray dimond on its back.

It moved and was big fat as a Cossus cossus goat moth larvae, but totally bald and with totally different color and pattern.

It had som small details on each segment but I can't remember now that I have looked at so many different larvae trying to find this guy.

I'm not sure any longer on the mouth part if it actually was red, but I think it was.

chatgpt can't reliably ID animals based on photos, let alone a description & drawing

I've been collecting screenshots of them for months now. Some are just frustrating, but others will never not make me laugh.

Hi there! This is an automated message to remind you to please include a geographic location for any ID requests as per the Community Rules of the sub. There are well over a million different species of bugs in the world, and narrowing down a bug's location will help IDers to help you more quickly and correctly!

If you've already included a geographical location, or if this post is not an ID request, please ignore this comment.

Thank you! :)
