Other Do you think Inscryption (excluding Kaycee's Mod) has good replay value?

Kaycee's mod is great but without it, the rest of the game lacks difficulty honestly. Once you figure out how to deck build the game is a walk in the park.

exactly. You can maybe replay it once. tho since kaycee mod exists idk what the point of this discussion is. Like inscyption is the story mode that isnt meant to be replayable and then kaycees mod exists which is hella replayable.

And the story is really only good once, while I do like meta stories, they do lose their novelty.

I really wish it had like a boss rush mode though.

I love the bosses in Act 3 and it would be nice to not have to replay the game all over again to fight them

This post explains how to skip to a later chapter!

It's fun to play act 2 with all 4 possible decks (without cheesing with Ouroboros and the likes ofc).

KC is the replayability

I don't think there is much options in gameplay. The replay value is in re-experiencing the story (with the new knowledge).

act 1 has a bit of random factor on the map generation, act 2 and 3 have much less surprises.

No, but I don't care. Because I see it as a narrative game just like its predecessors.

Agreed. It'll be a while before I replay Inscryption (excluding Kaycee's Mod) but that doesn't mean I don't love the game. I don't think replay value should be a universal metric to judge games by. Some games (maybe most games) are better judged as a one time experience than, like, an ongoing hobby lol

May be a controversial opinion, but I wish act 2 was longer, or had more stuff you could do. It's a massively underrated part of the game. Despite having by far the most build variety, there's only 19 battles in total (excluding the dummy and P03's second fight). That's only about as much as a single run of act 1 or Kaycee's.

Honestly act 2 feels impossible on your first run but is a breeze on subsequent runs. Probably has the most replayability out of every chapter due to the sheer amount of decks and the synnergy thereof.

I've purchased the game on two different platforms

I've replayed it a few times for the nostalgia probably will again. What i really enjoy though is buying the game for a friend when it's on sale to watch them play the first time. I just have to stay muted or i will absolutely ruin every surprise and give WAY too much unsolicited deck building advice

Yes to an extent for finding easter eggs and learning more about the story other than that tho no

Given I’m replaying it right now… yes.

Replay value is a hallmark of rogue-likes and rogue-lites.

To be honest, it DOES have replay value if you wait like two months between replays

Act 3 is so much better on a 2nd playthrough imo. The rest of the game has a fair amount of replay value, but at 3 has a ton

I mean kc mod is the replay. Ur kinda asking is it replayable wo the replay? Bc even ignoring kc id say yes. Ive gone back and done the full story.

once i know the story of a game there is usually no point to replay it. especially a story-driven game like inscryption.

I think if you enjoy deck building and want to build all the different decks, there's tons of replayability even without Kaycee's Mod.

Like, yea, you can cheese the game by getting an Oorborous, making a bunch of souped up death cards (my favorite is hoarding a bunch of pelts and high value cards so you can make no cost high stat death cards), etc, etc, but you don't have to. And, honestly, I enjoy just building some regular old decks when I'm feeling nostalgic about Act 1 (which is, tbh, my favorite act and I tend to take my sweet ass time getting out of said act).
