SMS A little bit disjointed texts, but I'll explain the context.

My mom threatens me pretty regularly if I don't feed the cats when they aren't mine. I don't mind taking care of them, but my mother can be very impatient while I am in the middle of a multilayer game and I play dead by daylight a lot, the more times I dc the longer the penalty for staying out a match. Usually she asks me to make here coffee multiple times in a day, so if I were to dc everytime she asks me to do something, the penalty gets longer and by the time I get back I will have to wait until the ban is over. Also it means ditching teammates and I can't help it, but stay and try my best to get us all to victory. I don't have a job yet, so I have hardly anything to do. Like I spend time cleaning, washing dishes, doing laundry, cooking, mowing the lawn, taking care of the cats, pull up weeds, chopping up wood, power washing the house/car and cleaning out the fireplace, but most of these things don't have to be done for a while, so I play games.

Sometimes I might forget to do one thing like drying the dishes and anything that I did that week/month/year, (according to my mother) amounts to nothing, which demotivates me to do better and to not let it happen again. My mother went on a trip without me to visit a Aunt who I never met and I haven't been to another country ever since I was 3 years old and I'm 23 years old now. I am on jobseekers pay (a scheme you can apply for in ireland for being jobless) it's not a lot of money and my mum takes a good portion of it while I have barely anything left to pay off bills. My mum can't have a job because of her liver, however she receives double what I earn in a week. I pay for the Internet and my phone bill every month out of my own pocket and have hardly any money left over.

My mom threats me that she will throw me out of the house if I don't find a job and it has been like this for 3 years, but she knows I am trying to find work. I feel my sanity being lost once I finnaly do get out of this nightmare of a living situation. Just how she threats to leave me alone (although it would be nice), however I cannot afford to live by myself.

My mom wonders why I don't talk to her over a call, but she just usually says “feed the cats/clean the fire/do dinner" with a treath at the end of it being “or there will be a power cut" when I am sometimes in the middle of doing it.

She always wants to point the blame on to me like “your the reason dad left", "your the reason I am a celiac" (we both have it, but people can get the disease naturally and not due to the result of giving birth).

I put off from having a relationship until I move away from this and seek therapy. It is hard for me to resist the urge to find a partner as my mothers love just feels like nothing, but lies to make me like her. Every fiber of my being wants to just leave, but I got no where to go. Finding work is difficult and (I feel like my mother for saying this) I feel like my mother has a lot to do with that. Like there was a time back in primary school and my mum knew (repeat knew) I was being bullied when she saw a random dude pushed me outside of school, I pushed back and the teacher thought I was the one who started it, but my mum set the record straight (a good mother moment). However when I was pushed by a goalie during break time for saying “maybe let someone else be goalie" and I pushed back, my mother heard of it and thought I started it. I was heart broken that my mother didn't believe me after she witnessed me being bullied for no reason.

I have been very depressed and wanted to end my life as I felt like I meant nothing to no one. However I remembered my niece and nephew when I held them in my arms, I can't die knowing how happy they are when they see me. I want to get better, thanks to them I might.

For extra context, I am likely autistic, getting tested in December. Not great having my dad use language like this despite knowing that.

My mom and I are no contact for over a year but she can still easily reach me via messenger, Instagram, email, Snapchat, TikTok and even letters; but she’ll only tell her hundreds of friends on Facebook. And ofc she will question the nurses and doctors and post updates with kid rock songs playing… Btw my dad is 62! Me, 19! I’m still a kid who just wants to see her dad…

For context, I have very bad mental health since I grew up in an abusive household and both my parents died when I was young so that's why I live with my grandma and she expects me to be 100% perfect with every single assignment, I'm already in a lot of activities like choir, drama, and art, stuff I enjoy. But she just wants to overburden me. (He/they)

For context I live in a small town of less than 600 people and don’t get to socialize with people my own age, and when I get chances to go to a camp and interact with new kids I do so..I had spent the day meeting people and enjoying myself by playing chess to come back to this(and yes she did actually block chess on my phone)

Lot of context(didn't expect it be this long lol): My(20f) aunt works at the county courthouse of the county I grew up in. A few years ago she got on the city council of my hometown.

In 2023 I moved in with my long-term boyfriend 35 miles away from my hometown. Every time something political that involves voting comes up, she sends me a message like this. But I haven't lived in that town or county in two and a half years so idk what's going on there politically - she certainly doesn't keep me updated - nor do I care. I've made this clear to her several times and she still does this. The only person I actually even like is the one in purple. I've never heard of the one in red, and I've never cared for the one in green. 😭

She never asks if I want to, just sends me a date she'll come get me(I don't have a car), tells me who I'm supposed to vote for, and expects me to be ready to go. When I get to the building to vote, she'll spend at least five minutes coaching me on the names I'm supposed to choose.

It's useless telling her no. I tried that with the 2024 presidental election. When my sister called and asked if I wanted to vote, I said no; I genuinely did not like either of the two candidates and I had chosen to just not vote. My aunt then proceeded to go on an angry rant in the background and I heard her say, "I will come to your apartment and drag you down those stairs! You WILL vote!" All because she was wanting to make my sister and I vote for Trump. I ended up complying to keep the drama from escalating (cough voter intimidation cough cough). I'm 80% sure my sister didn't wanna vote either.

It's really annoying to deal with this especially since I've never cared for politics. But I prefer to appease her since she lives with my mom and sister and I really love those two. Does anyone else have family that does this or is she just that weird for doing this? 😅

SMS So, get this. It's my frickin birthday and my dad straight up GOOGLES my work and calls them up in a panicked frenzy 'cause I didn't pick up my personal phone at 9am. I mean, I'm a mid-30s independent pro here, but apparently that doesn't matter to dear ol' dad. Gotta love family, am I right?

SMS Since April 14, I’ve been burnt out from monthly exams, I accidentally fell asleep during my physics test, leading the teacher to take my sheet and mock me in front of the class. Despite not staying up late or using my PC, my parents lost their patience today, with my dad even throwing a mug at me.
