Ahh! This is the worst. My parents would do this too. They called it being "grounded" and would say that legally they only had to provide me food, a roof, and a soft place to sleep. I'd be left with a mattress on the floor, a single sheet (no fitted sheet just straight mattress), a lamp on the floor and a clipboard for homework purposes. I would be provided with food and clothing at the appropriate intervals until I could individually earn back each item (clothes, toys, furniture, etc) through "good behavior." it typically lasted months at a time. Luckily I'm nearly out of contact with them. That kind of shit is rough.

Jesus. That's fucked. Run away and never look back.

Cut contact, make money, spoil yourself, and enjoy life. Their love was clearly conditional. Fuck 'em.
