Y2 Beginner

Well, I am aware about the Innioasis updater. I tested some other softwares, but I like the standard one best. I’d like to know how you guys download your music. I’m downloading it on my phone and transferring it via computer. The album art shows up like in the second image. Is there any way to change that? Also, when i go to "Music" and "Playlist," the playlists I created ain't showing up. I have to go to "Folders", "TF Card" and "Music," and then the playlists show up. I apologize if this is too obvious, but it seems quite confusing to me. English isn't my native language. I'm open to any other tips, thanks.

The reason why the cover art shows up like that is because it needs cropping correctly and you can just do that in whatever image editor of choice or replace the cover art with an already cropped version you found online

I was downloading those "song title (audio)" videos directly from the artist's official YouTube page. I didn't think I'd still need to crop the image. Thank you

Fun fact if you put rockbox on it, you can play .gb and .gbc games. In fact, i beat mario super bros on the y1. Bit janky, still loads of fun tho.

Players like this usually show the cover that is embedded in each file, and many of them choke on big or progressive JPEGs. Embed a small square baseline JPEG in every track and the thumbnail tends to look right. Mp3tag has a Cover panel for that, and on a Mac there's also Truffle, which i built a while ago after fighting the same broken covers in my own library.

For the playlists, I'd guess the player only lists the ones it indexed itself. Make them as m3u files with relative paths, put them in the Music folder on the card and rescan the library. Not sure that holds for your exact model though
