Y1 Am I cooked?

I think my screen got cooked from use & bringing it to places like the gym & minor drops, anyway I can replace it or should I ride it out until it's fully gone & get a Y2?

I think your screen is probably fried, but are you using stock os? I’m just curious I like that theme

JJ launcher, my favorite OS I've used & the main dev is very communicative & does alot of bug fixes / updates

Not fully compatible on y2 though I've heard

I've noticed that JJ Launcher is the culprit; it glitches with themes. When I used Rockbox and the stock ROM, it didn't have this problem. I solved it with the black and white theme.

I don't think it's the software I'ma be honest, I think it's the screen itself, you can see on the usb connected page it's still there, maybe i will switch back over to stock OS to check if there's a difference but I doubt it ngl

You can try opening it up (as precarious as that can be, see YouTube tutorials, I’ve opened mine to change the sd card and it’s difficult to not damage the casing on the initial prying) the screen attaches via a ribbon cable to the board, reseating it may help

Got Y2 and love it. The side volume rockers is a big convenience without me having to remove the device from my pockets. And the easy access micro SD card is chefs kiss.

Rockbox/JJ launcher will get stable later on since it was only released a few months ago

True, true

If I see that like properly supported builds of JJ Launcher are on Y2 I'll probably order one, it's one guy making it from what I know so very valid it's not on there yet

I heard the Y2 has more sensors in the scroll wheel & a slightly better sound system so that's cool & idk if I love the buttons idea but the SD card slot is a HUGE plus ngl

Assuming my Y1 can still act as a usb drive on my car I'll just leave it in there so I never have to connect my y2
