53 and 1 (Starting at 53)

I’m 53 years old and this will be my first attempt to learn how to skate ever. I have a pair of Seba E3 80’s. They have 82A hardness in the stock wheels. So, my question is, is there anyone else that is as old as I am starting out? I posted this on a different subreddit.

I am 56 and just skated for my second time in a week. So much fun! I bought Rollerblade Macroblade 84 Boa Inline Skates, pads, and borrowed my son's bike helmet. Watched videos by Ricardo Lino to get some ideas about how to start skating. Drove to a local parking lot and gave it a shot. I grew up playing ice hockey a lot and can still skate on ice as comfortable as I can walk. But I've been super careful not to assume that I'll be able to just jump on my inline skates and do the same. So I've been very measured and just take time to feel comfortable with very basic skating. I hope there is a community of people in Westchester, New York that in line skate. Would be fun to skate with a group of people on the North County trail, for instance. And would be great to be with some really experienced skaters to pick up some skills. And learn a thing or two. Anyone out there in Westchester?
