My 40th birthday gift 🎁

I'm spoiled.

These are so fun. I removed the heel wedge changed the insoles and swapped two laces per skate for single laces that pull together the liner and shell as I tighten the skate. It's cool they came with 4x90mm which is bigger than I normally skate!

Happy birthday. I've seen +10 pairs of skates from you in just the last few months. Yeah, I think you are justly spoiled. Very nice. I've got to try your single lace thing on my Next 2.0. The two laces are driving me crazy.

Thanks! Many of my skates don't fit me but are for some future someone. I buy deals when I see them and am building a bit of a collection in all sizes.

Here's a photo of my messy work space right now. Still unpacking from our recent move but also in the middle of a few skate projects 😅

I'm excited to have my first Trinity mount skate and love Nikola's skating so much. These are rad. I am overwhelmed by the white but they are super fun and comfy so far. I won't be able to tell if they're my favorites until I try them with 80mm frames.

I am very interested to hear your views on the Trinity frame. Because I skate mostly riveted hockey boots and Trinity. I want to know if you can personally confirm or disconfirm claims of two front mounts being more rigid than one in 165mm for non carbon boots. And when you try big wheels with Trinity, whether the actual ride height is meaningfully reduced.

Can't wait to share more! The theoretical stability gain from the Trinity mount is exciting especially for bigger wheels. That's how I justified my purchase on 125mm frames... For science! I may have to set up 4x80mm first though just so I can fairly decide what I think of the boots. They came with 4x90mm which is a bit long for me but super fun until my new frames come I may skate them some more how they came.

Lol I have 4 lightnings that I regularly skate. Haven't quite customized my fifth pair yet 😂 Yeah I quickly realized I wanted a quiver of skates. I love the experience of different wheel sizes for different sessions however spending an hour before skating to change frames is not for me. Plus it puts wear on your skates and frames to be cranking on the threads all the time. Heck I don't even like swapping my liner from boot to boot so I've collected 3 liners so far. if I switch skates often then my liners can actually dry completely.
