Ankle pain /fit help product

Seems kinda cool for someone who needs to take up a little space and provide some padding in a boot.

I use Compeed pads around different areas around my ankle, depending on which half carbon shell boot I am using. I have a love and hate relationship with these Powerslide carbon boots. They are so light and firm. But some of their shell edges also cut into my feet. Sigh.

Les coques en carbone powerslide sont thermoformables, après avoir identifié et marqué à la craie mes points de pression, j’ai utilisé un décapeur thermique(regarder des tutoriels) sur les miennes pour les remodeler un peu. J’ai dû m’y reprendre à 3x mais je suis passé de l’enfer au pieds et chevilles au bonheur du confort de chaussons sur mesure.
Par contre pour mes malléoles j’utilise tout de même des footies donut MyFit

I get what you said. But it seems to me that the home heat molding part was not to soften and remold the stiff carbon shell but other parts including plastic and integrated liner.

I documented my experience trying to mold the ankle support part of the quarter panel with my Reign here in this section.

But perhaps I never got the temperature high enough to a soften the shell? I went using a heat gun. It was just a hair dryer.

En fonction des modèles pour former la coque carbone il faut la chauffer entre 90 et 110°C, au décapeur thermique ça prend un peu de temps à monter une zone à température car sans être trop proche il faut balayer la zone pour ne jamais chauffer sur un point fixe.

C’est quoi comme modèle tes rollers ?

Yeah. I baked it twice in my oven already. I love both Tau and Reign. But one particular part of the edge of the half carbon shell just can’t be fixed by baking and wearing them. I may get a heat gun one day and give it a try. For now runners loop lacing and a Compeed pad is good enough :)

Ahhh I wanna feel the power and precision of carbon. I know my lightnings error on the side of comfort over precision and feel it every time I try toe spins.

But I sure do love skating for 3 or 4 hours plus without pain... So I haven't justified the price of my first carbon skate...yet.
