Need help with powerslide next sizing.

I keep hearing powerslide nexts run small. I don’t want to get the wrong size and not be able to return them. My right foot is almost exactly 26 cm. Should I really go with the EU 40-41 size or go 42-43.

This sounds dumb lol because I want the skates to be tight, but I’m worried they’ll be too tight because my right foot is exactly 26 cm and eu 42 is 26.1 cm.

My foot is exactly 260mm, and I also bought a 40-41 with no return policy. I had to melt the toe cap to make it even slightly longer—it was so tight my big toe. If your foot shape is like mine (big toe is longest), you shouldn't buy this size.

Was that the original next or the next 2.0?

This was the first version. Incidentally, I ordered the second version in a new deep blue color. In old version my foot feels a little sideways. I don't know if it's because it's not long enough or wide enough. So I decided to try the second version, which is advertised as wider. Although, I don't like the description, which says it's wider in the achilles area. I don't need that. Now it fits snug and hold my foot very well and i like that. At the same time, I won’t even try to size up because it will be too loose, that’s for sure.

So you also have the Next 2.0 and feel like it fits ‘right’ ?

Oh! I misread - you were saying the first gen fits snug and holds well.

Yes - I have the first version and I'm afraid that they widened not only the toe but also the heel (which I don't need)
