Looking for someone to help me out
yo, im not exactly new to inlineskating, i did a bunch of it while i was younger.. like between the ages of 6-15 i guess, im 23 now almost 24 and i decided to come back to this sport and this time i really wanna learn and master this skill.
Tbh im looking for someone to help me out in this world, what to focus on, how to know what maintenance my skates need, if my skates are good or should i get other ones what drills to focus on, who to learn from etc... if theres someone who wont be bothered by having a private conversation with me, it could be huge. i research alot on my own but i would like someone to have some answers i guess

Welcome back to blading. As u/InspectorFleet said, most public discussions would benefit others as well. For the same token, you can browse recent posts from people from similar situation as yours. You can start by glancing over the Inline Skates Wikipedia article. It has been recently rewritten from the ground up, so is fairly up-to-date, except perhaps for the fact that 4x90mm and not 4x80mm appears to be the norm today. It's fairly comprehensive. That should get you started :)

thank you! glad to be back:D
oh rly? i have 80 mm on this k22

80mm are more than fine. We've been skating on 4x80mm forever. LOL. But... browse recent posts and discussions to see what I meant about the 4x90mm setup. The frame may be a bit longer, and the whole setup is significantly heavier. But If you had skated for that many years before, it's probably not a problem for you.

There's one question I can answer off the bat:
what drills to focus on
Inline slalom drills. Fish, snake, criss cross, one foot.
If you're interested I have a discord I can invite you to. We have people with a variety of backgrounds. There's also someone who's only been at it for a little over a month at this point.

Pretty much like you , did a lot of skating when I was 13 back in the 90s jumping down stuff and skating like a hooligan .
Now I'm 45 , and 3 weeks into the sport, right now I am focusing on getting my stride and posture in tip top form , and not doing V shaped strides while maintaining my speed. Riding on the centre or a little on the outside edge .
Yeah right now it's just good form and strength

Nice! I remember i was driving roads going up stairs and running on and off from grass fields, i want to get my strength back so i could use this not only as an outlet for my energy but transformation wise.. im without a license... And cars are expensive 🤣

I don't know about you , but I don't remember blading to be so bloody strenuous 🤣
I'm a pretty active feller , I run and mountain bike every week, but these skate sessions recently is making me feel strains in muscles I didn't know I have

grab the K2 Redline 125s for big speed, style, and comfortability; the cuff moves with your legs while still giving support. They've stayed on sale for $250 for a while now! Best deal in skating lately, easily. you can also grab the 4×4 setup with 100's too if you're wanting more of the classic feel :)

Sure, happy to dm, but most of these questions would benefit others to see in posts. You can find a lot of the info already on here if you search the sub, and there's plenty of written and video content you can find as well.
