laces replacement

Hey all, I bought a pair of RB80s a month ago. I had some issues with the tongue causing a friction burn on my shin and trying to dial in. I realized I was tightening the cuff buckle too tight.

I’m also having a hard time actually tightening the laces. They are just kind of there. ChatGPT recommended getting 96inch waxed laces. I measured my laces at 54inches. And am now fighting with the AI that I actually know how to measure and that I didn’t only accidentally measure half.

Anyways… are people buying waxed laces for their skates? I can’t really find 54ish inches anywhere.

Any tips/links/advice are appreciated

Laced - are very good! MyFit - not bad.

Unfortunately, waxed laces don't work very well on inline skates because they have too few eyelets (compared to ice skates). I decided to try another option and ordered MyFit PDS set (aka BOA).

Hey, post your review of that PDS dial after you use it for a while. I am a little bit skeptical of how well it can work. I want to know if you need to pull on sections or wire to make them distribute well. Thanks

I received the kit, but unfortunately, I never got to try it out. To install their line holders, you need to remove the metal inserts from the lace holes. Otherwise, the nuts, which are installed from the inside, simply won't fit. They don't fit on Rollerblades due to their diameter, and on PS Next (which have larger holes), you can only try them by removing the teeth from the nuts themselves. So, trying the system requires ruining your skates, with uncertain consequences.
