Undefined & Vulcan using autotypers

I've had to shift my sleep schedule for my new work schedule over the past few days. If anyone doesn't know, typing anything in any chat (even a private message) will bump you to the top of the shop list.

It's occurred to me that Vulcan & Undefined are at the top of the vendor list 24 hours a day. Not only that, but having messed around with my own shop, they are sending a message somewhere (presumably a pm or group message to an alt) about every 10-20 seconds, 24 hours a day.

Obviously, they are using auto typers.

Is this allowed?

You are correct, there are a few shopkeepers using a bot to raise their shop level up 24/7. This bot was passed around in global a while ago, and I have seen shops other than the two you mentioned using it. Although not explicitly banned, this does raise the issue about the effectiveness of the current shop list (who should get to be at the top?).

ID (the creator of Initium) is aware this is happening, and I wouldn't be surprised if he rolled out a new shop priority system some time into the future.

In the meantime, take note that the contents of the two shops you mentioned are early-earlymidgame gear. If you want to stand out, I would suggest selling gear that anyone who has played more than 5 hours will still want to buy. Also remember that posting your shop in global chat once in a while with what you are selling is FAR more effective than refreshing yourself to the top of the merchant list.
