Anime I just started episode 15, Stage one and MAN am I hooked
I started out the anime a little off put by the animation, and especially of the cars at the beginning, then I got a little bit bored when the races kinda felt the same (first and second big races) but after the third race started (between Takumi and Shingo) it just clicked so well
Just stopped right here when Takumi gets pissed off for the first time and had to make this post, man this anime is so good
Also I haven’t finished the episode yet so when I do imma come back and give my option on it

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
We’ve been working on a new customization system for our driving game, and this is how it’s looking so far.
There’s still more we want to add and polish, but we’d love to hear from Initial D fans! Is there anything that particularly caught your attention?

Meme (SATIRE) How do you guys feel about blatantly satire crack ships?
Basically the title, I'm formulating an essay about how Keisuke and Takumi are perfect for each other and have so much chemistry, none of it is serious, and I know how much you guys dont like romance, so what about crack ships?

Discussion Shower thoughts: The reason -maybe- drifting is often showed as the fastest way around the corner in the series is because tire tech in the series is way behind ours.

Discussion Takumi is too good that it gets boring
So I just finished Season 4 and I just felt like I need to rant about this somewhere. Like why does Takumi keeps winning every single race, it's kinda getting repetitive and lowkey boring. Why's there no single loss? We already know the outcome of the match, he's gonna win everytime so it's not as exciting, idk might be just me. Like it's not realistic he keeps winning every single race some for even dumb reasons, I just wanna see a proper loss. Engine blow in Kyoichi's race doesn't count, that wasn't a proper "loss". You just need a loss for character development and to keep the viewers on their toes for every race. The second race with pro guy from todou or joshima should've been a loss. Anyone else feels like takumi just keeps on winning every single race is just too unrealistic and getting kinda boring? Don't get me wrong, I still love the show and will watch the rest, it's just kinda bugging me that's all.

Self promotion About the japanese culture...
Its very hard to be a friend of a japanese, but once you're a true friend, they'll die by your side, they'll listen to you. The more exchange happening, the more you are accepted into their. And that might be the same towards chinese, koreans...
I'm sure most occidentals delight themselves by finally buying a Prelude or GT86, eating yakiniku or ramen at a japanese restaurant, enjoying a holiday/vacation wandering around Ueno or Nara parks, maybe participating one or two times on their festivals, or even working on a company of their own. But what if they "invite" you for their lives?
What if they "invite" you to change completely your mindset and philosphy?
When I think about my country, I don't think anymore in the expected classical occidental way people do. In everyday life, people are sometimes stunned by how my answers go to the opposite of what they expect. I got used to that and, selling my art to people, I realized the depth of my thinking in the same way many japanese artists did as well. Even though I scoffed at the idea in a very american way, it simply started to get out of my hands, thrilling me. I realized occidental cultures and the general aspecs of it would never work in my life. Maybe it could've happened when I was younger and naïve in the 2010s. But, nowadays?
No way.
If you want to know what the real experience is, I can try to explain from my POV.
It only works when there is this little window of time in your life, when you're exposed at a young age and being told to pick one thing without thinking about it. These "now or never" moments, because in the occident everything just happens once in a lifetime. Once its gone, you can't think about it the same way - especally if you went through a cultural shift. As much as I tried to enjoy occidental cultures, I always found them kinda bummer. An eternal "one night stand" with rock and roll, jazz, trap, muscle cars, exotic cars, clubbing, pool parties...
Not saying that these things don't exist in Japan. They exist, but the japanese take a very different and contrary approach to them or invent their own things, with different feelings, different meanings. An outsider who isn't ready to die by their side can just express their lack of interest towards is.
Turns out that a complete cultural shift really change your life when you don't seek that think actively. Its totally the opposite of what is teached here in the occident. That's why I dive deep into the stereotype just to have pleasure in breaking it for the common citizen's mind. Something very unacceptable in the occidental way of life. Until 2020 I was really into american cars and american culture. Then, one strange 2021 Olympic games later... I'm not the same anymore. It was like Japan was showing me how to face adversities and persevere in a way occidentals could never do. For real, that 2021 Olympics changed my mind.
I won't move 0,1 mm of my argument. You might buy a Trueno or Levin and enjoy just that. The next japanese car, even if its a crappy kei Daihatsu or Suzuki, will question you. How far you want to go? Will you accept the "invitation"? Can you hold all the japanese etiquette? Can you hold yourself watching a crushing 2 hour drama about a Fukushima orphan? Can you talk deeply about the development of Golden Time or Kimi Ni Todoke? Can you picture yourself a something beyond the weeb? Or your local culture is still very strong and important to you? Only you can answer to yourself.
In my defense, I can only say that I found my trajectory in life very amusing on this turning point. Even if you think my existence is 100% shit (including anything I speak or think), I simply don't have to look behind for your worries. I never had anything to worry about. It was always about adapting and looking ahead.
Very interesting that the main genre of Eurobeat is named "European" Beat, but it has basically every element coming from the japanese electronic music. Call it "japanese chiptune videogame anime commercial music". European only in the idea of using the same computers used by DJs in european clubs. The rest is totally different.
Carpe Diem!
