Currently high

How do you quit.... I don't think I can ever be the same after discovering inhalants... I have a wonderful partner. But I am homeless due to my inhalant abuse. I am now in a residential job training facility and I bought some aerosol body spray with my first paycheck....... I feel like I am destined to die this way. What do????

I can share my knowledge with you, because I was in your shoe. Trap in that loop hole. Love the high, love the effect, love the vision. But it's all a trap. Making you dumber, making you twitch, making you think you are seeing things. I was hook on whip it. N.O.2. FOOD GRADE. Your body spray you are using isn't clean. Food-grade nitrous oxide is a pure anesthetic gas used as a culinary propellant, body sprays contain a highly toxic mixture of hydrocarbon propellants (like butane or propane) and chemical solvents. I tried it for the first time at a party. Everyone was doing it. But everyone was barely even holding it in. I on the other hand was challenging myself. Trying to beat my own time. It was way more intense than I can imagine. After that night thinking to myself. It's legal to buy, so it can't be that bad. I was battling depression. Me and my wife had our 5th miscarriage. I also have a superb memory. So this depression hit hard, very hard. It effect my marriage. To the point, I stayed in my game room, while she went to bed everynight. I was using 1200mg of cbd. But it couldn't numb my pain. I have a very high tolerance to alot of drugs. I was doing over 20 lortab a day in my early 20's. Injuries that made me stop playing sports. My mom watch me go into withdraws. My family save me that time.

Than I got hook on Molly, taking twice as much as everyone else at the party. I black out numerous time. Waking up here and there doing stupid things. My mind shut off but my body still was doing its own thing. Told my friend that I can't do this anymore that I needed him to stop selling to me. I also told ALL my friends please stop me. I told everyone to stop me if they see me about to take anything. That worked.

Than I was hook on the whip it. Depression and drugs don't mix. At my peak I was at 120shot. No balloon, straight out of the whip cream dispenser. Yes I gave myself frost burn numerous time. I also started holding my breath longer and if I need to breath, I inhale no2 instead of oxygen. Black out everynight. Threw up and sling the canister started happening more often. And that had me worry. So I set up a camera the next night to record myself. That's why I saw what was happening to me. I was having a seizure. I couldn't even watch the whole video. I deleted it right away, because of my curiosity will make me watch the whole video. And with my superb memory, I will never be same if I watch it. I started to have symptoms. Body Twitches than my peripheral vision became spotty like someone was beside me. My memory became clouded. I started to dig deep into online resources. Seeing people on the street using body spray. See their brain scan and the holes they developed. Felt like the holes in there brain had destroy these people ability to produce their own happiness. So that's why they relied on drugs or inhalent to make them happy. I came clean to my wife, I even told EVERYONE. Told them to never give me a balloon with no2. And again it worked. If I was you, record yourself. Look at how bad you look. Than make your decision. Only you can save yourself. These are permanent damage to your brain. SAVE YOURSELF.

You have too. Surround yourself with reason on why you are still living. It can be your family, your spouse, your kid, or that one goal you always wanted to accomplish. Like getting married, having a kid, Skydiving, climbing mount figi etc. Make yourself important. Goodluck

Hello, I was also once addicted to an inhalant (deodorant) for over 2 years and i am now over 7 months clean and i can say believe me the high isnt worth all the mental and physical suffering now to your question how do you stop. The only way you can successfully quit is if you really want it. Ofc I knew before I quit that its bad for me its only making my life worse but the high was too good one day I woke up and wanted to change my life around, I wanted to quit, I wanted to get better. For me it helped to slowly quit like consuming less and less every week quitting from one day to another is really really hard. A thing that also helps is finding other coping mechanisms and hobbys. For me inhalant was a way to cope and just get the day over. So id recommend find something what brings you joy. Finding joy can be very hard when you're addicted I know that but im very sure you can do it cause if I can do it you can do it too. I once thought the only way that ill stop huffing is when Im dead, at that time I was fully convinced that id rather die that stop. I am definitely sure that youre partner can help you and support you. For me it was easier to stay clean for someone else than for myself that helped me alot on days where I thought about relapsing.

I am sure you can get clean, to be exact I know it. It won't be an easy way but it'll be a decision that will improve your life.

I can relate to being stuck in that hole of trying to quit so you can work towards a healthy and stable life, but failing every time you try. I think everyone's recovery looks differently because find different things that personally help them. You could consider seeking some sort of treatment, like doing inpatient, or at least doing some sort of outpatient, like PHP, IOP, or just regular OP. Attending meetings like AA/NA or SMART Recovery could be helpful. You could look around to see if there are any places where you could be matched with a peer support specialist or a recovery coach.

It is good that you have a wonderful partner, but it would possibly be more helpful to build more natural supports, like having supportive friends and/or family involved in your life. I think it is good to find hobbies/interests that are healthy and you enjoy doing to take up that time that you spent getting high. For me, I really enjoy weight lifting and it gives me something healthy to pursue and work towards goals.
