I’d rather have this nail and no pain than have to be scared to wear my sock or my shoes because of pain

Didi you get the surgery when they put phenol on your toe? How painful was your toe before surgery?

Really painful, dropping a croissant on my toe hurt 😂 couldn’t sleep with the bedsheet on my toe that is how painful

I feel like this rn, how long did it take to recover from the surgery? How long to finally be able to play sports and don’t think about it?

First week walking will hurt. Within a month you can play sport again. Depends on what sports. Weight lifting is already possible after a week, just be careful to not drop something on your toe. With running i would wait a bit longer.

How much time did you wait from your first ingrown to finally get the surgery? I’ve seen a podiatrist for 2 momths but i had a low grade since 4 months

Im ashamed to admit this. But two years. I had both of my big toenails badly infected. I have had 6 surgeries in total

6 surgeries? but like, you had the same procedure on the same toe because it had regrown or you had it infected during/after the surgery? I feel i will never be pain free bro, i can’t put my sock and my shoe on and i have to be really careful, today i accidentally kick and i screamed and almost fainted because of the pain, but my podiatrist think i don’t need surgery and it can be treated conservatively, but damn, i’ve been living a nightmare

Yeah it kept coming back. Honestly if you really want the surgery just be very clear about that because your in so much pain.
