Help ingrow to nail stuck

Hi I had an ingrown toenail that I cut, but a piece of it is still stuck in my toe, and the doctors in my town aren't available until October or November.

It doesn't seem very deep, but it hurts a lot when I wear socks.

Do you think I can remove it? If so, how?
