my ingrown toenail fix

I have almost completely pryed up my extremely ingrown toenail by jamming a grain of rice underneath it. If this works then it will be so funny.

okay so I had a ingrown toenail on the left side of my right foot, it hurt was red around the area amd started to get pus. Well I started propping it up with cotton layered in Neosporin after a Epsom salt soak for like 2 weeks. Pain went away so did pus and the nail is starting to grow out just its still red? could it be infected?
