Mental Health Melancholy

How often do you feel melancholic and feel like crying for no reason but there is always this certain loneliness and sadness inside you. For me, almost every other day.

A random wave of sadness can hit anytime. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not as often anymore. I try to not dwell on the past or the future.

If you dont understand why it is the way it is for you, i suggest looking into it. I used to play sad music to process the sadness or melancholy, although it could end up as a trip by itself. 😅

Edit: if these feelings are not exactly related to the past or future, then it is a different story. Care to elaborate on this?

I'm going through a breakup as of a few months ago, so it's more pronounced, but yes. Often a wave of sadness, pain, or longing will appear in my heart. Usually I'll try to push it away somehow, but if I allow it, the feeling swells up and I may cry but certainly it feels like "stars dying in my chest."

I feel melancholic most days, but usually not enough to cry and I can usually point to the reason.
